A Capital Tour - Toronto and Ottawa

Day 1: Home - Toronto (D)

Depart home for Toronto. Enjoy on board entertainment and meals at appropriate times. Arrive in Toronto, a thriving city of business - from stock and bond trading, legal and government work, to film and theatre activity. You will be met and transferred to your hotel. The remainder of the day is free for you to explore.

Day 2: Toronto (B, D)

This morning after breakfast you will enjoy a full day city tour that includes such highlights as Ontario Place - the intellectuals theme park, Harbour Front, the new City Hall and Old City Hall, the Financial District, the CN Tower, Rogers Center (formerly the SkyDome) - the world’s first retractable domed stadium, Air Canada Centre - the newest attraction in the area and home of the Maple Leafs, Yonge Street, and Cabbagetown. Later, return to your hotel to relax before a delicious dinner at your hotel or a local restaurant.

Day 3: Toronto - Niagara Falls - Toronto (B, D)

After breakfast this morning, travel to Niagara-on-the-Lake, a quaint little town of 12,000 people and see en route Fort George, burned to the ground in the War of 1812. You will then motor on to Niagara Falls. Here you will ride the “Maid of the Mist” sightseeing boat. The “Journey Behind the Falls” takes you out onto balconies at the end of the tunnels at Table Rock. You will also have a view of the falls and the surrounding area from the Skylon Tower. Return to Toronto later in the day to relax and enjoy dinner at a local restaurant.

Day 4: Toronto (B, D)

Enjoy an early breakfast before boarding your coach for a morning visit to the Ontario Science Center with its more than 650 exhibits. The afternoon is free for you to explore attractions such as Casa Loma, the Disneyesque castle, or shop in trendy Yorkville at your leisure. You will have dinner in a local restaurant or at your hotel this evening.

Day 5: Toronto - Kingston - Upper Canada Village - Ottawa (B, D)

This morning after breakfast travel East, skirting the shores of Lake Ontario to Kingston, the first capital of Canada. Visit Upper Canada Village just beyond Kingston and then continue on to Ottawa, Canada’s capital city. As you transfer to your hotel, enjoy a panoramic sightseeing tour of this multicultural city. You will stay overnight in Ottawa after dinner in a local restaurant.

Day 6: Ottawa (B)

Today begins with breakfast in your hotel before embarking on a full day sightseeing tour with a visit to the Parliament Buildings and the Canadian Museum of Civilization, which details Canada’s culture from the earliest people to the present. Later, return to your hotel to freshen up for your farewell dinner to this beautiful and friendly city at a local restaurant of your choice. Afterwards, you will stay overnight in Ottawa.

Day 7: Ottawa - Home (B)

Depart Ottawa today after breakfast. Your coach will pick you up at the hotel and transfer you to the airport for your flight home with lots of fond memories.
