Day 1: Home - New York
This morning, depart on your flight to the “Big Apple”. Upon arrival, enjoy a short panoramic tour of Manhattan. Settle in to your hotel, and expore Times Square at night!
Day 2: New York (D)
Upon arrival in New York this morning, you will be met at the airport and transferred to your hotel by private coach. After dropping your bags at the hotel, make sure you have on your best walking shoes for a day in the exciting heart of Manhattan. New York is home to the biggest and best of almost everything and that includes world famous department stores. After your morning tour and lunch it is recommended that you swing over to visit the world famous Bloomingdales for an amazing shopping experience. Then meander your way back to 5th Avenue and make a quick stop at the Trump Tower en route to Rockefeller Center. The remainder of this afternoon is free for you to visit this enormous complex of 21 buildings that is home to NBC Studios, Radio City Music Hall, innumerable offices, and underground shops and restaurants. One could easily spend an entire day in this city within a city. Perhaps you might want to visit St. Patrick’s Cathedral, one of the largest churches in the United States, the foundations of which were laid before the Civil War but was not opened until 14 years after the war ended. Prior to dinner this evening at a local restaurant, you will check into your hotel to change and relax.
Day 3: New York (B, D)
Begin the day with breakfast then head to Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts, a 14 acre complex of educational and artistic institutions that is home to the New York State Theatre, Avery Fisher Hall, and the Metropolitan Opera House. The Julliard School is also located in this complex and your tour will include a visit to this top notch artistic educational facility. Head over to Central Park for lunch and then make your way to Radio City Music Hall for a guided behind the scenes tour of this 1932 Art Deco theatre famous for its spectacular musical productions with the Rockettes and other live concerts. Alternatively, participate in a workshop of your choice. Tonight, attend a Broadway show.
Day 4: New York (B)
Start the day with breakfast and then venture down to Battery Park at the southern tip of Manhattan Island to catch a ferry for the short ride to the Statue of Liberty National Monument. Then board another ferry for Ellis Island which was the nation’s main point of entry into the United States for millions of immigrants from 1892-1924. The remainder of the afternoon is free to make your way to Ground Zero, site of the former World Trade Center and to discover the financial district. A few blocks west of Ground Zero is the site of the world famous Brooklyn Bridge and the South Street Seaport. You may also choose to explore Chinatown and Little Italy or head directly to Soho and Greenwich Village for some endless shopping and sightseeing. Tonight, spend time in Times Square.
Day 5: New York (B, D)
This morning after breakfast, enjoy a dance class at one of New York’s premier dance studios. After, sightsee on your own or shop the fabulous garment district, Bloomingdales and Macy's.This evening after dinner, arrangements have been made for you to visit the Empire State Building and its Observatory. The New York skyride is an optional visit.
Day 6: New York - Home (B)
Enjoy your last morning in the “Big Apple”. This morning you will board your private coach for your transfer to the airport for your flight home.
