Day 1: Home - Ashland (Medford)

This morning, depart on your journey to Ashland, Oregon - home of the Tony Award winning Oregon Shakespeare Festival (OSF).

Day 2: Ashland (Medford) (B, D)

Wake this morning and enjoy breakfast before venturing to the Oregon Shakespeare Festival. Meet your guide for a backstage walking tour of the festival to learn about the history, design, and technology of repertory theater followed by an hour with the actors, directors and other company members of OSF. This afternoon, wander Lithia Park, a designated National Historic Site. This evening, have dinner at a local restaurant prior to your choice of theater production. Before attending your show, you will also have the opportunity to attend a show prologue session to learn more about the story, themes, and characters.

Day 3: Ashland (Medford) (B, D)

Start the day with breakfast followed by a discussion with an OSF company member reflecting on one or more plays the group has seen or will be seeing. Next, it is a chocolate tour of Harry and David gourmet fruit and food gifts, and Jackson & Perkins roses and garden products. Tour the facility of Southern Oregon's largest employer, and feast on some of their tasty delights. Tonight, dinner is at a local restaurant before seeing your second theater production and show prologue.

Day 4: Ashland (Medford) (B)

Today you may wish to discover the unique charm of Ashland by exploring the sights of this historic little town. The town restricts the number of "big box" stores that take residence, leaving room for many small specialty shops to peruse. This afternoon, you may wish to make an optinal visit to the Oregon Vortex, a place where naturally occuring visual and perceptual phenomena can be caught on film as you see the laws of physical gravity and perception are reversed.  Tonight, another theater production and prologue of your choice.
