Day 1: Home - San Francisco (D)
Depart home today aboard a wide bodied aircraft. Upon arrival at San Francisco airport you will be met and transferred to your hotel. Enjoy a guided panoramic sightseeing tour enroute. Remainder of day is at leisure to explore on your own. Dinner will be at a local restaurant.
Day 2: San Francisco (B)
This morning begin your day with breakfast before you board the coach for your morning city tour. Highlights on this morning’s City Tour include the renowned Golden Gate Bridge, Nob Hill, Union Square, Old Spanish Mission Dolores and Fisherman’s Wharf. Enjoy some free time to wander throughout the tour. At lunch, you will be dropped off at the Fisherman’s Wharf where you might want to try some famous clam chowder and sourdough bread, a San Franciscan specialty. Later in the afternoon, you cross the Bay to Alcatraz Island and tour this famous landmark. Before dinner, your coach will pick you up and return you to your hotel for an evening at leisure.
Day 3: San Francisco (B, D)
Today after breakfast the full day is at leisure to explore this wonderful city on your own. Today would be a great day to ride the famous cable cars, or walk Lombard Street - the crookedest street in the world. Or you might want to do some shopping in the innumerable shops that appeal to every taste. Later make your way to Chinatown and lose yourself in the largest Chinatown outside of mainland China. Later this evening, you will enjoy a Chinese dinner in this exotic locale.
Day 4: San Francisco - San Simeon (B, L)
After breakfast, board your coach and travel south and visit scenic Carmel and Monterey and tour the spectacular 17 Mile Drive. As you drive along following the Pacific Coastline, you can see famous Big Sur. Spend some time wandering in these seaside havens and enjoy mingling with the locals as you lunch in a local restaurant. Late this afternoon you arrive at your overnight in San Simeon.
Day 5: San Simeon - Los Angeles (B, D)
In the morning after breakfast you tour the incredible Hearst Castle, the playground of the rich and famous of the early 20th century. Admire the castle's unbelievable art collection. Your motorcoach continues along the Pacific Ocean with stops in the Danish village of Solvang and a visit to the Historic Mission in Santa Barbara. Later today after enjoying a scenic drive, you arrive in Los Angeles and check into your hotel. Enroute you will be treated to an orientation tour of the world’s “Capital of Glamour”. You will drive to Hollywood to see the footprints of the stars at Grauman’s Chinese Theatre, visit the Hollywood Bowl and Sunset Strip. Also see the elegant Beverly Hills with its famous movie star homes and stores on Rodeo Drive. Who knows, maybe you will even catch a glimpse of someone famous! Upon arrival at the hotel, relax, unpack and then make your way to a local restaurant for a hearty dinner before turning in for the night.
Day 6: Los Angeles (B)
Wake early today to make time for a good breakfast because you have a full day ahead of you. Today, the highlight of the day is a full day visit to Universal Studios, one of the world’s largest motion picture and television studios. Have dinner at Universal Studios before your coach picks you up and takes you back to the hotel. Tonight you will want to turn in early because you have a full and exciting day tomorrow.
Day 7: Los Angeles (B)
Start your day with breakfast at your hotel prior to departing for Disneyland, the “Happiest Place on Earth”. The sights are heart-warming, the rides thrilling and the scenery magical in this extraordinary space. Young or old, Disneyland tugs at your heart and leaves you with unforgettable memories of this special world of make believe. Spend a full day enjoying the sights, rides, thrills and scenery of this magical place. Later this evening, return to your hotel, weary but happy.
Day 8: Los Angeles - Home (B)
Your visit to California unfortunately ends today as you board your coach for the airport for your return flight home.
