Discover Peru
Day 1: Home - Peru
Fly to Lima, Peru. Upon arrival you will be met and transferred to your hotel.
Day 2: Lima - Cusco (B, L, D)
This morning take an early flight to the ancient Inca capital of Cusco. Transfer to your hotel. Remainder of the day is free to explore. In the evening, gather at a local restaurant for an official welcome dinner.
Day 3: River Urubcmba Campsite (B, L, D)
From Cusco drive to the upper Urubamba, the sacred river of the Incas for some fun rafting. You will be given an instruction and safety talk. Spend the night in a tent on the shores of the ancient river system.
Day 4: River Urubcmba Campsite (B, L, D)
A day of canoeing on a scenic stretch of the Rio Urubamba. Games and challenges are a part of the day as well as learning some new water bound skills.
Day 5: OllanTaytambo (B, L, D)
Part of the day is dedicated to help clean up a section of the Rio Urubamba, a way to contribute to the eco and community projects. Load off the river and change your mode of transport from boats to mountain bikes. Continue your journey down the Sacred Valley of the Incas to the town of Pisaq. Overnight in the town of Ollantaytambo.
Day 6: OllanTaytambo - Aquas Calientes (B, L, D)
Travel by train to the ruins of Machu Picchu. From the drop off point it is an uphill 4 hour walk to Winay Wayna ruins. Then catch a bus down to the colourful town of Aquas Calientes.
Day 7: Aquas Calientes (B, L, D)
Return to Machu Picchu for a guided tour. After your tour climb Huayna Pichu, and wander through the ruins or return to Aguas Calientes to soak in the hot springs fed from the nearby mountains. In the afternoon, board the train and head back to Poroy. Transfer to Cusco to overnight.
Day 8: Cusco (B, D)
The entire day is at your leisure. You may explore the Inca ruins, visit colonial churches, bargain hunt in Indian markets or relax on the terrace overlooking the Plaza De Armas. Finish your adventure with a night out on the town getting to know Cuscenean nightlife after a farewell dinner.
Day 9: Cusco - Lima - Home (B)
Take an early flight to Lima. Upon arrival you will go on a half day city tour before heading to the airport to catch your international flight home.
