New York Fashion Capital Tour

Day 1: Home

This morning, depart on your flight to the “Big Apple”. Upon arrival, enjoy a short panoramic tour of Manhattan. Settle in to your hotel, and expore Times Square at night!

Day 2: New York (B, D)

This morning after breakfast, enjoy a behind the scenes tour of the fashion district. Visit fashion showrooms and designers for an inside look at the industry. Afterwards, take some time to explore the Garment District and its vast selection of fashions and construction supplies. This evening, visit Empire State Building and its Observatory. The New York skyride is an optional visit.

Day 3: New York (B, D)

Today you will head off on day two of your fashion tour. You will learn the art of fashion forecasting and costume design before an afternoon hair and makeup workshop related to this evening's Broadway show.

Day 4: New York (B)

This morning you will take part in a cultural walking tour of Harlem. Afterwards, spend some time shopping and sightseeing in some of New York's most colourful neighborhoods including Chinatown and Little Italy. Make your way over to SoHo before spending an evening in Greenwich Village, famous for its restaurants, curio shops, bookstores, art shows, coffeehouses, and nightclubs.

Day 5: New York (D)

Start your day with breakfast and then head off by subway to Battery Park at the southern tip of Manhattan Island to catch a ferry for the short ride to the Statue of Liberty National Monument. Then board another ferry for Ellis Island which was the nation’s main point of entry into the United States for millions of immigrants from 1892-1924. The remainder of the afternoon is free to make your way to Ground Zero, site of the former World Trade Center and to discover the Financial District. A few blocks west of Ground Zero is the site of the world famous Brooklyn Bridge and the South Street Seaport. Tonight, enjoy another Broadway show!

Day 6: New York (B, D)

This morning head down to Canal Street for a unique shopping and bartering experience. In the afternoon, wander Rockefeller Center - a city within a city that one could easily spend a day within its complex of 21 buildings. See the NBC Studio Gift Shop and Radio City Music Hall before making your way to 5th Avenue for some upscale shopping and sightseeing. Get an up close view of Trump Tower, St Patricks Cathedral and FAO Schwartz. Tonight, shop some more at the world's largest department store, Macy's.

Day 7: New York - Home (B)

After breakfast this morning and after checking out of your hotel it is time for your flight home.
