Enchanting French Canada

Day 1: Home - Montreal (D)

Today depart for Montreal, Canada’s bilingual multicultural city that is comprised of numerous ethnic communities, particularly Italian and Jewish, and two distinct parallel communities. While most residents are bilingual, the French and English communities rarely interact. But Montreal is nonetheless a very chic and cosmopolitan city with its grand boulevards, twisting alleys, Gothic Cathedrals, artists and haute couture. Today is free to settle into the hotel and arrange your own activities.

Day 2: Montreal (B)

This morning after breakfast you will board your coach for a full day of sightseeing. Today's visits include Ile Notre Dame, the site of Expo 67, and Parc Mont Royal which is on the summit of Mont Real, the extinct volcano.  You will also see the Olympic Complex which host the 1976 Summer Olympics, the site of the Montreal Tower, and home to the Expos baseball team.eball team, the Expos. Also located in the park is the Biodome,  a museum of the environment designed to raise an awareness of the world and the interdependence of its inhabitants. Free evening.

Day 3: Montreal (B, D)

The entire day is free for you to take a walking tour visiting the Fashion Capital of Canada, the old port in Montreal Harbour, and the Place Jacques Cartier on the slope from Champs de Mer to the waterfront and contains the Nelson monument. Free evening.

Day 4: Montreal (B, D)

Today after breakfast you will get off to an early start leaving cosmopolitan Montreal behind and traveling along the Trans Canada Highway en route to Quebec City where you will enjoy a ½ day guided tour. Your tour will include the Citadel, one of the two official residences of the Governor General of Canada. This evening, dinner will be at a local restaurant.

Day 5: Quebec City (B)

After breakfast this morning enjoy a ½ day guided walk along the hilly cobbled lanes of old Quebec City which might fool you into thinking that you are in France. See the Chateau Frontenac Hotel, Place d’ Armes, and the Plains of Abraham.This afternoon after lunch in a wonderful French café on your own, you may continue to explore this magical region. Later return to the hotel to relax and pack for your flight tomorrow.

Day 6: Quebec City - Home

Depart your hotel and transfer to the airport for your flight home with an abundance of fond memories! Bid au revoir to Montreal and the Belle Province of Quebec.
