Day 1: Home - Hong Kong - Bangkok
Today depart for Bangkok via Hong Kong. Settle in for the long flight as you lose a day crossing the international dateline.
Day 2: Bangkok (D)
Arrive in Bangkok, capital of Thailand. Transfer from the airport to the hotel. Relax and explore on your own this ancient kingdom.
Day 3: Bangkok (B, L, D)
This morning begin your day with breakfast before departing on this full day sightseeing tour. Enjoy a tour of the world famous bridge on the River Kwai. The bridge, where lunch will be served, is located near the town of Kanchanaburi. Then visit the War Museum and take a train ride along the original “Death Railway”.
Day 4: Bangkok (B, L, D)
Today is a full day tour to the Damnern Saduak Floating Market. Observe life on the river as vendors openly display their wares and shoppers busily bargain with them. The tour includes a visit to Nakora Pathom, site of the highest Chedi in Thailand called “Phra Pathom Chedi” which is the largest pagoda in Southeast Asia. Lunch will be at the Rose Garden Country Resort. Attend the Thai Village Show. You will witness ordination into monk hood, fingernail dance, Thai boxing, hill tribe dance, sword fighting, elephants at work and folk dancing.
Day 5: Bangkok (B, D)
Begin today with breakfast before departing on another full day of exploration. This morning you will tour the Grand Palace and the Emerald Buddha Temple to see the Funeral Palace, the Reception Palaces, the Throne Hall, and the Royal Guest House. The afternoon you will have time to shop at the World Trade Centers department stores. In the evening you will be treated to a Thai style dinner with classical music and dance.
Day 6: Bangkok - Hong Kong (B, D)
This morning you will transfer to the airport for your flight to Hong Kong, the “Live it! Love it!" city. Upon arrival, transfer to the hotel for check in and then take a Kowloon city tour by public transportation and experience the lifestyle of the locals. In the evening enjoy an Indian dinner.
Day 7: Hong Kong (B, D)
This morning take a guided tour of Hong Kong Island. From the top of Victoria Peak, enjoy a breathtaking view of the city and the world famous harbour. Visit the floating fishing community of Aberdeen and Repulse Bay with its long stretch of sandy beaches. This afternoon is at leisure to take a hovercraft to Shekou to visit a kindergarten and a commune to see and experience local life or travel to Portuguese Macau, the oldest European settlement in Asia. This is also your last day in Hong Kong to shop for souvenirs and take advantage of the many bargains.
Day 8: Hong Kong - Home
This morning is at leisure to explore Hong Kong on your own for in the afternoon you will be transferred to the airport for your flight home.
