Footloose in Manhattan
Day 1: Home - New York
This morning, depart on your flight to the “Big Apple”. Upon arrival, enjoy a short panoramic tour of Manhattan. Settle in to your hotel, and expore Times Square at night!
Day 2: New York (D)
Start your day with breakfast and then head off by subway to Battery Park at the southern tip of Manhattan Island to catch a ferry for the short ride to the Statue of Liberty National Monument. Then board another ferry for Ellis Island which was the nation’s main point of entry into the United States for millions of immigrants from 1892-1924. The remainder of the afternoon is free to make your way to Ground Zero, site of the former World Trade Center and to discover the financial district. A few blocks west of Ground Zero is the site of the world famous Brooklyn Bridge and the South Street Seaport. After a long day of touring, the evening is free for you to experience the night life of the “Big Apple” or relax at your hotel.
Day 3: New York (B, D)
Radio City Music Hall is teh first stop this morning for a guided behind the scenes tour. Following your visit, spend some time in Rockefeller Center - a city within a city that one could easily spend a day within its complex of 21 buildings. Visit 5th Avenue, incucling St. Patrick’s Cathedral and the well known Trump Tower. In the afternoon, subway to Chinatown, Little Italy, and Canal Street or head directly to Soho and Greenwich Village for some endless shopping and sightseeing.This evening after dinner, you will see your first Broadway show.
Day 4: New York (B, L)
Today is a day that is all about dance, dance and more dance. This morning after breakfast, arrangements have been made for you to learn and experience the roots of Hip Hop in an original Hip Hop Cultural Sightseeing Tour. After your tour, sightsee on your own or shop the fabulous garment district, Bloomingdales and Macy's.
Day 5: New York (B)
This morning after breakfast, enjoy a dance class at one of New York’s premier dance studios. Have some lunch in Central Park and then visit the Empire State Building and its Observatory in the afternoon. This evening, you will attend your second Broadway play.
Day 6: New York (B, D)
Begin the day with breakfast then head to Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts, a 14 acre complex of educational and artistic institutions that is home to the New York State Theatre, Avery Fisher Hall and the renowned Metropolitan Opera. The Julliard School is also located in this complex and your tour will include a visit to this top notch artistic educational facility.This afternoon is set aside for you to participate in a workshop of your choice. Free evening.
Day 7: New York - Home (B)
Enjoy your last morning in the “Big Apple”. This morning you will board your private coach for your transfer to the airport for your flight home.
