Paris, Florence, and Venice Fashion
Day 1: Home - Paris
Depart on your flight to Paris, enjoying meals served at appropriate times and a full length movie in flight.
Day 2: Paris (D)
Arrive in Paris, a city unsurpassed for fashion inspiration. Enjoy a panoramic sightseeing tour en route to hotel including Les Grands Boulevard, L'Opera, Sacre Coeur, Place Vendome, Place de la Concorde, Les Champs Elysees, L'Arc de Triomphe, and Notre Dame. Dinner tonight is at your hotel.
Day 3: Paris (B, D)
After breakfast, head to a well known Fashion Design School for an orientation tour where you will learn about the programs offered and the courses that you will be taking for the remainder of the day. This evening, dinner will be at your hotel before some free time to explore the city of lights on your own.
Day 4: Paris (B, D)
Following breakfast this morning, you will meet your guide for a half day guided walking tour of Paris. See sights such as L'Arc de Triomphe, Tomb of the Emperor Napoleon, Ste. Chappelle, Musee Dorsay, L'Orangerie, and Place de la Concorde. The remainder of the day is free to visit the Notre Dame Cathedral, or explore on your own. Tonight, have dinner at the hotel prior to ascending the Eiffel Tower for a spectacular night view of the city.
Day 5: Paris (B, D)
Today is free for your to explore some of the most fashionable areas of Paris such as the Avenue de Montaigne and the Rue du Faubourg Saint Honore. Then visit Montmartre, a working class area dominated by inexpensive clothing and a multitude of fabric and notions stores. Return to the hotel for dinner before spending the evening in the Latin Quarter.
Day 6: Paris (B, D)
This morning you will make your way back to the Fashion School for a full day of inspirational instruction about the world of French Haute Couture. This evening, enjoy dinner before experiencing an optional cultural visit to either the Opera Garnier - immortalized by Gaston Leroux in his book Phantom of the Opera - or the Opera Bastille.
Day 7: Paris (B)
Today you will visit another Parisian school of design to learn about its history, programs, and students. In the afternoon, you will see the Louvre Museum on your own. The Louvre is home to the Mona Lisa, the Venus de Milo, and the Victory of Samothrace, to name a few. Tonight, you will board an overnight train to Florence.
Day 8: Florence (B)
Arrive this morning in Florence, and meet your guide for a walking tour of the city. See the major points of interest in Dante, Boccaccio, Botticelli and Da Vinci.
Day 9: Florence (B, D)
Enjoy breakfast before walking to the Uffizi Gallery which displays a vast collection of antique sculpture and paintings. Following lunch on your own, learn about the flourishing leather business that Florence is world renowned for. Visit two leather design houses, see demonstrations in house and meet a custom leather designer and watch him work in his front store boutique. Dinner tonight at a local restaurant.
Day 10: Venice (B)
Today you will transfer to Venice. Start with a guided walking tour of the city which includes the Bridge of Sighs, Dodge's Palace, Clock Tower, Piazza San Marco, the Rialto Bridge, and the Grand Canal. Return to your hotel in Mestre by Vaporetto.
Day 11: Venice (B, D)
Enjoy a full day to yourself to shop and explore Venice.
Day 12: Venice - Home (B)
Ciao Italy...today you wll depart on your flight home.
